Welcome to the Strength In Words Family Enrichment Library!
Come and browse anytime. Never feel overwhelmed - take advantage of the resources as you need them, skim the surface or take a deep dive! There are few places where you can find bite-sized chunks of developmental information and evidence-based, age-appropriate supporting activities.
Each month, you can expect a new video to appear in our family enrichment session archive with corresponding downloadable handouts.
During the first week of every month, I host a live Q & A Workshop (answering questions you've submitted). You can find archived questions in the Live Workshop section below.
Family enrichment sessions
Each month, I add a new video-based session - think of these as something like a developmentally based sing-a-long. I'll show you inventive ways to use musical experiences (songs, rhythms, rhymes) to help your young child learn. We'll sing songs, read books, introduce simple props, and talk about what developmental concepts we're hitting while we do that!
You can watch these videos with your child, or choose to watch on your own. Download the handouts with song lyrics and play ideas, keep them in a binder so you can refer to them later, and feel great about your newfound knowledge-base and resource library!
developmental information & ideas
Enter to find easily digestible developmental information (covering the areas of cognitive, communicative, motor/sensory & social/emotional development).
The information is then paired with SIMPLE activity ideas corresponding to your infant or toddler's developmental age, requiring little to no materials (all of which are commonly found household items), so you can make the most of precious minutes here and there.
Our next Q & A workshop is scheduled for: Sunday August 27 at 9:30am PST / 12:30pm EST
We work through questions on a first-come/first served basis.
If you have a question about infant or toddler development (learning, play, interaction, best practice, etc), please submit it below! If your question is deemed outside the scope of this series, we'll let you know! Please check archived topics beforehand!
