private speech & language assessment and therapy

At this time, Ayelet provides private evaluation and individualized intervention for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children (0 - 5 years).

Early intervention (0 - 3 years) services are provided in your family's home, the most naturalistic setting for your child, with parent/caregiver participation in therapy activities. Communication, speech and language goals will be written to suit your family's needs and based upon the results of a comprehensive speech/language evaluation. At the conclusion of each therapy session, you will be provided with a written summary of the day's session, and a few specific strategies and techniques for you to carry over.

consultation / who qualifies for services?

If you are concerned about your young child's communication development, you are welcome to schedule a consultation with Ayelet to determine whether your child might qualify for speech and language services. An informal screening may be conducted, and Ayelet will discuss aspects of typical communication development with you.

Private speech/language therapy services may be provided in conjunction with additional therapies received by the child, and may complement and augment additional services. When other service providers are also working with the child, it is best to work collaboratively, whenever possible.

family enrichment group sessions

Strength In Words family enrichment groups are play-based groups using music, rhythm, & play as the framework. More information about the evidence-based nature of these strategies can be found here. These groups are appropriate for both developmentally delayed as well as "typically developing" infants and toddlers and their caregivers.

Family enrichment sessions focus on communication strategies, language learning, and early development. They are just as much about parent learning, connection, observation, and socialization as they are for the child!
